I wrote a little short story thing about Neon and Glow when they first met and went on their first mission together. Hah. <3
[/justify][/size]"Ugh, who is this clown?" Glow muttered to herself as she sized up her new partner. She had just joined a rescue team guild, and had been randomly assigned to a partner. She was stuck with an over-excited, crazy Umbreon by the name of Neon. Flicking her lavender tail back and forth in irritation, she strained to understand what he was saying. He seemed way too excited about this mission, when it was just a simple "find this thing for this Pokemon" kind of one.
"I think we should head there right away!" Neon was saying. "It's pretty far deep in the caves, and it's going to be super dangerous! But don't worry, I'll protect you, Glow!" Glow scoffed, her nose wrinkling. Like she needed protection. She was a level 25 Espeon, when would she ever need protection? She headed towards the door without waiting for Neon to finish whatever he was going on about. Turning her head towards him, she flicked his nose with her tail. "Didn't you say we should head there right away?" she mocked. He didn't seem to notice that she was making fun of him, and bounded past her out the door.

Three hours later, they were still stuck in the caves. Three hours of Neon chattering away, while Glow kept a lookout for the item they were supposed to collect. Suddenly, there was a shine from up ahead. "I think I see it!" Glow said, finally getting excited about the mission. She started running toward the little gleam of light, and finally caught sight of the little crystal they had been looking for. She had just started digging it out of the ground when Neon's voice broke through the silence. "Glow, watch out!"
Glow didn't move in time, and she was knocked sideways into a wall. She could just make out a dark figure, a silohuette of some kind of huge Pokemon. It had started to move around, trying to buck another darker figure off. It was Neon! He had his teeth clamped tight in the ear of a Tauros! Glow jumped to her paws, hitting the Tauros with a Confusion attack. The Tauros stumbled into a wall, crying out in pain. He couldn't walk in a straight line, and Neon was thrown off his back.
The Tauros started forward again, going after Neon. Glow jumped in front of him, staring the Tauros down, challenging him to come one step closer. The Tauros faltered. Glow was angry. She wasn't going to let some goon come in here and take her partner out like that, no matter how annoying he seemed to be. The Tauros stopped, and he let out a sigh through his nose. He turned, and made his way out of the cave.
Glow turned to Neon. "Are you okay?" she asked. He nodded, looking stunned. Pulling the crystal they had come so far for closer to her, she nudged him with her nose. "Let's get going," she said softly. Neon nodded again, still in shock. He got to his paws, swaying a little bit. Glow got her shoulder under him, supporting him as they made their way out of the cave. "Thank you for saving me," he murmered, nuzzling his face into her fur as they walked.
